Before you start

Applicants know what is happening before the verification begins.

The applicant notice is short, plain and shown before the journey starts.

Who requested it

The notice identifies the business asking the Applicant to complete the Verification. DoorID processes the Verification for that business.

Why it is needed

The Verification captures information to produce a Result and Evidence Pack for the business’s application or transaction.

Who receives it

The Result and Evidence Pack go to the requesting business and its authorised users; DoorID does not decide the business’s outcome.

What is used

Fair notice without exposing the method.

DoorID uses broad categories rather than technical detail. The live wording can be adjusted by buyer and region.

Applicant details

The notice explains that the journey can capture contact and application details, identity-document information, facial images, property imagery, device, location and sensor signals.

Verification record

Facial images used for comparison are biometric data. They are processed only after the Applicant gives explicit in-session consent; without it, the Verification does not proceed.

Security record

The Result, analysis results, review notes and security records are used to provide, secure and audit the Verification.

Choices and support

A genuine customer needs a route if the flow does not work for them.

The flow does not leave an applicant stuck or silently failed.

Cannot complete

The applicant is told how to contact the requesting organisation if they cannot complete the journey.

Alternative route

The buyer defines what happens where accessibility, safety, device or property issues arise.

Questions

Provide a clear support and privacy contact route for questions about the check.

Rights and retention

The buyer-specific notice provides the applicable legal detail.

DoorID provides a standard notice framework; the live version reflects the buyer relationship and retention settings.

Retention

Identifying Verification data, captured images and the Evidence Pack are kept for 7 days, or up to 30 days on the business’s written instruction, then deleted or de-identified. The business keeps its downloaded copy.

Rights

Applicants can ask the requesting business about their data rights. DoorID assists that business where it holds the relevant data, and provides the contact route in the notice.

Audit

The notice also explains the additional Australian privacy position for Applicants located in Australia and records the version shown in the journey.

Next step

Use this wording in the live journey.

The applicant flow shows a concise notice, privacy link and support route before the verification begins.
